I did a little online shopping at vs a while ago and picked up a few things that were on sale. The few clothing items that I bought were an angel tee, vs sports top, pink tee and yoga pant set, pink crop yoga pant and a pink boyfriend sweater. I pretty much like most of the things that I got. However, the pink boyfriend sweater wasn't exactly the way I thought it was. The shoulder part was too big and makes me look slightly weird when I put it on. I like my pink tee and yoga pant box set, but the yoga pants were a little too long (it was a size regular). The vs sports tee is very bright, made up of thin material and is a sheer. The angel tee is very cute because it has wings on the back, but I do worry a bit about the glittery wings when I take it to wash. Talking about washing, my yoga crop pants were ruined after I washed them ;( I've been wanting crop yoga leggings for a while and finally it was on sale so buying it was a must. After washing it once, the yellow was stained pretty badly and it looked like I fell into mud or something. I don't know what happened during the washing process, but I'm so upset. I thought the next time I take it to wash the stain would come off. However, it just worsened.... My first and only yoga crop legging is so sad. I miss it not being stained.

Sweater: VS Supermodel Essentials Graphic Fleece Pullover
I don't think I have ever bought any clothes from Victoria's Secret (only vs pink). This is my first time getting Victoria's Secret clothes and I got a sweater. I really like the coral pink color and the design in the middle of the sweater. This sweater is really soft and comfortable, which I pair with my skinny jeans. The only thing that I have a problem with VS's clothes is the length of the sleeves. Most of my VS pink hoodies and zip ups have really long sleeves and that sometimes annoy me. VS's clothes doesn't seem too bad other than the sleeves part.
Casual Dress
I went home during spring break and was able to go to the mall to get some new clothes. The me now realizes the importance of trying before buying. In the past, I would just buy whatever my mom brings to my attention without even trying it on. As a result, I have accumulated some clothes that I have never worn or only a few times. I feel bad to my mom and also the clothes. I thought these past four years of college didn't really taught me a lot, but I was wrong.
In the past, I thought it was a hassle to bring lots of clothes to the fitting room and a waste of time to try them all. Also, I'm pretty slow on trying on clothes so I didn't want my fam to wait too long for me. So, I end up getting whatever looks nice without trying them on until I go back home. Now to think about it, I made a mistake thinking like that. Clothes are generally not made to tailor everyone's body type. Therefore, trying clothes on before buying allows you to not waste money and also feel confident wearing them.
During my shopping trip, I tried on every piece of clothing before making my decision to buy them. There were some clothes that I thought looked nice, but they didn't meet my expectations after trying them on. At first I was a little unsure about this casual green dress, but I thought it wasn't too bad after trying it on. If possible, try clothes on first before making your purchase.

Active Wear: Forever 21 Sports Bra
I brought these two bras a while ago from Forever 21. They both weren't super expensive and looked pretty good on the models so I decided to get them. Both of the bras are padded, but they use different materials. The black and white striped bra is mostly made up of cotton, while the yellow bra is made up of spandex. I got smalls in both because I can fit a small usually. However, I was quite disappointed when the package came. I mean the design of the black and white bra was what attracted me, but it came up too small. So, I would definitely get a size up. The yellow bra lived up to my expectation and fit well. Gotta say buying in stores can sometimes be better than online.

Active Wear: Forever21 Low Impact Tonal Strip Sports Bra
I bought this sports bra because the picture of it looked really good on the model. There are removable pads and it is pretty comfortable to wear. When I opened the bag though, this bra literally has the strongest not so pleasant smell. It took me a few washes to completely get that icky smell out of it. Also, this bra runs on the short side. I'm usually a small, but this bra was tight on me so I would recommend buying it one size bigger. The material used to make the bra feels kind of cheap too. The design of the bra didn't match what I thought it would be so I'm probably not going to buy this one again.

Active Wear: H&M Racerback Sports Bra
Rewinding back a few weeks ago, I was looking into getting some professional clothes and found out that H&M had free shipping. So, I went to the site and looked at their sale section. I didn't even know that they had a sportswear section. Well, since there's free shipping why not add some sportswear. I browsed through the section and didn't find any sports wear that really stood out to me besides the sports bras. Also, I figured that I'd be working out often so it wouldn't be bad to get some more sports bra. I decided on getting a black Racerback sports bra after comparing for a while. I guess I'm into getting racerbacks these days. I got a small because I know that it is the safest bet since I've never bought any sports bra from H&M (I'm generally a small). My package arrived within a week and I got really excited. I tried the sports bra on and it fits me quite well, not too tight and not too small. I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase. However, the only thing that I didn't like about H&M's sports bra was the tag. Literally, there were 7 tags on the bra! It was kind of uncomfortable so I end up cutting it. Is it because H&M is multinational, so there's a need to put so many tags? I just looked at a shirt that I bought from H&M a while back and there's 5 tags.... I mean I don't care too much for a shirt, but definitely for my sportswear since the whole point is to be comfortable. In the future, I might consider buying sports bra from H&M again, but right now I prefer VS more.

Active Wear: VS Racerback Bra and VS Cami Bra
I was always the one that disliked going to gym class because I didn't like running. Running makes me feel out of breath and I just don't see a point to it. I remember running a mile for 12mins, while the majority of my classmates finished before 10mins. However, my perspectives changed when I came to college. Running didn't seem as bad as I thought and sweating actually makes me happy. I started going to the gym every week and used that time to forget about all the stress and schoolwork. Going to the gym does make me feel good, but there was something missing. I actually don't own much active wear. I go to the gym with shorts, a t-shirt and a regular bra. I know it's kind of bad not owning a sports bra, but I went by without having one. At that time, I was still skeptical about online shopping so I just want to wait until school is over and go back home to get a sports bra. Unfortunately, I forgot about buying sports bras because I didn't workout at all back home. When the time came for me to go back to school, I decided I really needed a sports bra. I bought my first few sports bra from Forever21 and used it up until now. I feel like they are getting a little old and I want to get some new ones. The sad thing is that Forever21 stop selling the type of sports bra that I have. Although they are not the best sports bra, but they were under $5. So, this year I began my search for sports bras in order to keep me motivated to go to the gym. I tried to look for sports bras that are on sale or if the site has free shipping.
Luckily, Victoria's Secret was having their semi-annual sale by the end of my winter break and some of their sports bras were on sale. I took some time to carefully look at them since I've never owned a VS sports bra before so I want to make sure that I'm going to wear it. On their website, many of the pictures only show the front side of the bra and not the back, which I did get a bit disappointed. I really want to see the front and back. However, I did end up getting two. I got the VSX Player Racerback bra in violet and VSX Player Cami bra in turquoise. The material used for both bras were similar and felt sturdy. I tried on the Cami bra first and it was a struggle because it was pretty tight, but the good thing about this bra is that it has adjustable straps. Then I tried on the Racerback bra and this one was even harder to put on because it was so tight. It took me a while to get adjusted to these bras. There's no padding in either, but both are good for working out. I wear them for yoga and spinning classes. If they're on sale again, I would love to get more and probably get one size bigger just so it wouldn't be as tight.

Online Shopping
The world of online shopping for apparel is not at all familiar to me until I got to college. I didn't like the idea of buying clothes online since I cannot physically see it in person. The only thing I can see is the picture and a simple description of the item. Photos can be enhanced to make the item look different and it is really easy to buy the wrong size. However, my views changed as I got to college because it is hard to physically go to the store when I don't have a means of transportation. Walking and taking a bus does consume a lot of my time, which I didn't like since I could've used that time to be productive. Another reason behind my changing thoughts on online shopping is because of my sister. She does a lot of online shopping too when she got to college and I do get a bit envious of her new clothes. So, just one day I decided that it is time for me to go online shopping. I don't shop online much due to my college student budget and when I do it is because of sales or free shipping.
There are positives and negatives of online shopping. Let's start with some negatives. First, I think that it is a hassle to return items no matter what retailers say. Also, many retailers won't provided paid postage on their return shipping labels. It wouldn't be bad if there's a store near you because most retailers allow you to return it back to the stores for credit, but for a college student not so much. Another problem is the quality of the material. The pictures look decent and make you think that the quality of the material isn't bad. However, there are items that don't live up to the pictures. Sometimes the colors differ and material used to make the item is flimsy. For some positives, again, online shopping reduces the amount of time needed to get to the stores. Also, there are always deals or sales that are exclusively online only. Stores might not have as much variety of clothes as oppose to online. It is exciting when a package comes and also when you open it. Shopping online helps me feel better when I'm stressed out.
This blog will be dedicated to feature clothing items in person. As an online shopper, I think it is helpful to read reviews and also see the item in real life. I hope every item in this blog will be helpful for you as you online shop for apparels. Let the reviews begin!!
p.p. Happy Lunar New Year
